Bicycle Computer On Dirt Bike Can You Put A Bicycle Speedometer On A Dirt Bike?

Can you put a bicycle speedometer on a dirt bike? - bicycle computer on dirt bike

I have a counter case bicycle (F20 Bell Bike Computer, to be exact) and asked me if it was possible, my Dirt Bike Ride (TTR Yamaha), its 125 to be exact. I do not see a problem, except for the fact that the instructions say that the magnets must be 2 mm apart. I do not know how hard it would be my wheels are not now accessible. Thank you.

Yes, many people use on motorcycles bicycles swimwear. I belong to a mailing list for BMW motorcycles old and some of the first water-cooled BMW motorcycles in the 80's speedo die earlier and hundreds of replacement cost, so people put a speedometer on a bicycle.

For a motorcycle road must ensure that the speedometer climbs a bike to 80 degrees. Apparently, many of them have not. Not a big problem in a dirt bike, because they go so fast.

Then, as you say, it's only a matter of mounting a magnet on the rim and the sensor to get close enough to read how he goes. There are websites on this topic. Basically it is made with epoxy resin and struts. Use your imagination!

Of course you can mount your speedometer Bell on his bicycle. You are right and correct alignment of the sensors. You may have a support sort of adjustment to obtain the correct orientation. Instuction successor company, the device comes true with Bell program tire size and should be ready to roll, too.

I do not have something similar if my speedometer stop working reflex (a big mistake to remove) the guts of the speedometer. I installed a Cateye Mity 8 as a tachometer. Great works of up to 58 km / h, but after that it is unnecessary.

Of course, it would be 2mm and work could be done, slide with an adjustable arm to the fender mounts.

It is difficult to "work" on something, if "something" is not in front of you.

Be sure to use a Dremel tool and raw edge A Lil Bit, epoxy magnets, where necessary, clean all parts with alcohol and let the epoxy set, then the arm with the sensor at a reasonable distance.

Good luck

yup, I made a couple of bike you need for the program with the distance traveled by a rotation.
I have the best choice for a stand outside the area, and then install the sensor in the middle, then the magnet on the issue by mounting the current discourse of the bell.
